Women with diabetes in greater risk of cardiovascular disease when they live in cities with air pollution

Researchers reported that for each increase of 10 micrograms per cubic meter of air pollution, a woman’s risk to develop cardiovascular disease increased by 44% if she had type 2 diabetes. The effects were greater in obese women or over the age of 70.
