What do you know about fibroids?

Fibroids are surprisingly common and are defined as benign uterine tumours.  They are most likely to occur in women aged 40 and over, and are more common in women of African origin. Most cases of fibroids don’t show symptoms however they can cause heavy menstrual bleeding and infertility.
